Taste of Summerville is designed to take part in the social atmosphere of Summerville with two trolleys that will be constantly looping between several local hotpots.  It will begin at 6pm at the ASU quadrangle where you may purchase your $10 bracelet. This allows you to ride as much as you like, and gets you specials at all of the featured spots:

The trolleys will be running in 10-15 minute intervals and the participants will be offering specials to all those with a Taste of Summerville bracelet.  We will also be offering a special 8pm pickup at the Augusta Country Club for members and will have drop-offs there throughout the night.  Please come out to support us while having a good time responsibly without having to worry about parking or the drive.

SUMMERVILLE PARADE

Saturday, November 10 from 10-11am  |  ASU Quadrangle start & finish
This will be our second year of bringing this former Summerville tradition back to our streets.  Our mission last year was, “Well, it has to start somewhere!”  This year our goal is to have as many residents participate as possible.  Bring your golf carts, bikes, dogs, bobsleds and whatever else you would like to join the classic cars with your friends while showing love and support of our neighborhood.  We will congregate in the ASU quadrangle on Arsenal around 9am and make our way safely by police escort on approximately a mile long track.  If you cannot participate, please come out and support us as we pass.  The parade will conclude back up at ASU where we will have complimentary children’s activities, food and local live music. The goal is to offer a family friendly atmosphere to fellowship and have a great time with our neighbors.

TROLLEY TOURS & SUMMERVILLE CELEBRATION

11am-4pm • $15  |  Tours leaving ASU Quadrangle every half hour

Join the Summerville celebration! We’ll have family fun with inflatables and live music at the ASU Quadrangle. Featured bands:

  • Howard Merry and Friends

Our Trolley Tour will be a fun spin through our streets pointing out some of the more notable residences and how & why they got their start. It will be filled with tales of the past provided by Lee Ann Caldwell, Mary Lou Garren and Eric Montgomery. The route will include (but is not limited to): Cumming Road, Walton Way, Milledge Road, Pickens and Johns. There is so much wonderful history to our area and so many anecdotes involving the families that built these homes and the circumstances that surrounded them. We will discuss the architectural trends through the years and the “why behind the what” of Summerville.

We will have two trolleys with tours beginning every 30 minutes lasting approximately 45 minutes.  So come out and enjoy the festivities and go on the tour!  We guarantee you will learn something and if you need another reason, we will also have prizes on the trolleys during every tour. We would greatly appreciate your support this year as we try something different and special.  We have so many fantastic and interesting neighbors and friends, we are offering an opportunity to join together and be united for a fun weekend.
